Home from NC after the Minker Friesians shoot! Tonjes 459 looked incredible! And the other horses too were all very photogenic. I sure appreciate being able to do what I love to do and work with such amazing animals. Thank you Carol for giving me such a wonderful opportunity to work with you and your horses.

Just home from an incredible shoot with Pinnacle Friesians' Frederick the Great! I am so excited to work on these pics! Frederick is an 8 year old Stallion by Fabe 348 and his mane- I am not kidding, is past his knees and thick thick THICK! It was like 4 tails actually. Friesian tails. I can't believe it. His mane weighed like 3 lbs! Maybe 4! He was such a good boy and his parents love him very much. I'm so happy I got to meet them all and do "my thing". Hoping to get a peek up here soon! Thanks Stacy and Kim for having me come to Arkansas! I LOVED it!

What a great time by all at the first annual Ohio Valley Friesian Classic at the Ohio State Fair! (Same place as Equine Affair) There were 30 Friesians there showing and over 120 entries. And The one and only Mintse 384 Sport was there to perform for the crowd. The estimated number of spectators during his performance was 3000! This was great exposure for our beloved breed. Many first time showers came out for the great number of classes catering to newbies- and smiles were seen from ear to ear as many people out there for the first time took riboons home to decorate their stalls with. Our family took our 9 year old gelding Cervantes to the show- mostly doing walk trot classes to be sure he could handle it- as he has been in the pasture for the last 2 years doing nothing but eating! (That is if you don't count the 2 rides I had in the last 2 years) His rider Katie Allen is an experienced showman, and took home 3 firsts, a second, a 3rd, and a 4th place. She was the second highest highpoint rider of the show. Another young rider was the highpoint champion,  Alexis Binder. I did not get to meet her but I saw her doing a great job out there! Brian and Kendra Phipps did a great job organizing the show, and Barb Renico was show manager and did a wonderful job getting things done. GREAT JOB by all who helped- grea turnout and support by all who came- and great photos! Am I allowed to say that? Ha. Great for having a 5 month old baby boy on my lap. :)

How blessed we were to add a sweet baby boy to our household this year! It was a bit by surprise as I wasn't sure we would be able to have a 2nd child, but we sure did! We are really enjoying him and settling into having less sleep and less time of course, but it's all good! I sure appreciate my clients that welcome my lil herd along as I work sometimes, as family is very important to me and it keeps me out there doing what I love to do, and keeps me being a good mom too. So thanks to those that have said bring em' along!

I was very thankful to receive the FHANA Judy Knapp Volunteer Award for 2007. I love helping FHANA as it means I am helping the Friesian horse, and I know it brings everyone joy to see beautiful pictures of our beloved breed. I am very blessed to be able to do what I do and I will continue to contribute whatever I can to help out. Be sure to say thanks to people you see doing a good job out there, with a call or email, as it DOES help keep us going! I know our Board Members work night and day behind the scenes and sometimes a little thanks is just enough to help keep spirits up. Find the good and not the bad! SMILE and say thanks! You'll make their day. :)

I'll share a lil note from one of my favorite Friestyle riders- 14 year old Taylor Crookston. He sent this to me and it really was a special thankyou when I was about out of steam to do anymore, and it made me realize, it is all worth it when you see what a difference you can make.
